## Description
Cassia is the aromatic, inner bark of young branches of certain trees from the Laurus family.

Used whole or ground into powder, its sweet aroma and spicy flavor are principally used in cookery as a condiment and flavouring material to flavor cakes and fruits, sweet pickles, many deserts and even coffee. Cassia is a tonic, carminative and stimulant. Besides treating nausea and flatulence, it has been proven to be beneficial for those concerned with diabetes and lowering lipid levels, such as LDL cholesterol and triglycerides.
